To improve security and legitimacy concerns, Hammond invites a group of experts to inspect the park before it opens. Dr. Alan Grant - Paleontologist Dr. Ellie Sattler - Paleobotanist Dr. Ian Malcolm - Charismatic and skeptical  theorist They are accompanied by Hammond's two grandchildren, Rex and Tim Murphy, and are car parked with other cargo members including game Verten Robert Maroon, chief engineer Ray Arnold and chief programmer Dennis Nedley. Tour and First Questions The group will start an automated tour through the park, but it does not run as planned. The dinosaurs remain hidden, and Malcolm has expressed concern about the unpredictability of nature. In the meantime, park safety was strongly based on technology, which proved to be a serious mistake. In the background, Dennis Nedley, secretly working for a competitor company, thwarted the security system to steal dinosaur embryos. His actions disable the electric fence and allow the dinosaurs to move freely. Tyrannosaurus Rex Attack A tropical storm hits the island, exacerbating the situation. While the group is left behind on the tour route, the Tyrannosaurus Rex and the attack escape. It kills the lawyer, violates Malcolm, and  Grant is able to save Hammond's grandson Tim and Rex. They fled into the jungle. In the meantime, Nedry tries to escape with a stolen embryo and is killed by  Dilophosaurus. Survival in the wild Grant, Rex and Tim sail on the dangerous island, meet a group of Brachiozours, and escape the group of Galimimus, followed by  T. Rex. Along the way, Grant forms a bond with the children, showing a softer side despite his initial symptoms. Back at the Control Center, Ellie Sattler and Muldoon are about to recover their power. However, they also encounter a very intelligent Velosiraptor who escaped. The raptors killed Maldoon, and Arnold disappeared, and possibly killed. The final conflict Grant and the kids arrive at the Visitor Center, but the Raptor sneaks into the building. There is a tense tracking, and Lex uses  computer skills to restore the security system. T while the birds of prey are closed. Rex intervenes unexpectedly, attacks the Raptor, and lets the survivors  escape. Hammond, who first experienced chaos, agrees to leave the park. Surviving grants, Sadler, the child, Malcolm and Hammond made the island an island on top of a helicopter when they were free to see the free-hold dinosaurs. --- Topics and effects Jurassic Park explores topics of scientific ethics, human rog arrogance, and  unpredictable forces of nature.
